We're a New Zealand media buyer that provides distressed inventory.
A digital billboard runs whether it's sold or not. The screen is already built, already powered, already lit. So a week nobody buys earns the operator nothing at all. Selling it late at a fraction of the rate card is better than selling it for zero, which is the alternative.
That's the entire reason the numbers look the way they do. It isn't a launch offer, it isn't a loss-leader and there's no catch. It's the ordinary economics of unsold inventory.
The percentage on each listing is measured against the screen owner's own published rate card at the time we list it. That rate card is theirs, not ours. We show it so you can see what the same week costs booked the usual way.
We buy the space; we don't own the screens.
We work across operators rather than for one of them, which is why you'll see screens from different networks in the same list. It also means we have no reason to push you toward a particular screen: the right one is whichever suits what you're advertising.
